SOMETHING ABOUT THE ARTIST

'BROTHERS IN ARTS'

Born in, and still lives in Banbridge, Co Down.

Whilst recovering from illness, Adrian studied at UBIFHE, Banbridge, attaining ‘A’ level, going on to a foundation course in Art & Design at Lurgan College and post ‘A’Level UBIFHE.

As an avid motorsport fan, his earlier works concentrated on capturing local sporting legends such as Joey Dunlop MBE, OBE and Formula One star Eddie Irvine.  Not wanting to focus just on motorsport,

George Best,(Football) , Brian O’Driscoll (Rugby),  Peter Canavan (GAA), Darren Clarke (Golf)  and the latest edition of Snooker World Champion, Alex ‘HURRICANE’ Higgins.    Each of the originals where reproduced in Limited Edition Prints and where possible, individually signed by the subjects.  Many of these limited edition prints were sold into private collections both at home and worldwide.

With a desire to explore back into the Fine Art field in which he first studied, his later works are more figurative, some based on the female form, in ballet capturing the elegance and movement.  Jazz scenes also are a favourite, giving the opportunity to bring colour to music, atmosphere,  warmth and expression.

His style with bold and spontaneous with confident brush strokes and exciting use of colour.

Adrians current style is of Abstract Expressionism, which gives him the opportunity to immerse himself in colour,  and to express pure creativity of movement with freedom and diversity. Chaotic they may seem sometimes but there is method and balance and a knowing of when to stop.

He has taken part in many group exhibitions in Belfast  and Dublin.

Earlier in 2015 he was included in  a trio of local and cross border artists in  a very successful exhibition at Ranfurley House in Dungannon and was televised for IrishTV.  He has also had some work used in an Artists Collective Publication.

So far in 2017 Adrian has contributed to the 'Incognito' project for the 'Jack and Jill Founation' with 3 of his  postcard size abstract paintings being auctioned in the Solomon Gallery and a Painting for an 'Artists Cook Book' with the Scoop Foundation to be launched in August 2017 (details to purchase can be found at https://scoopfoundation.squarespace.com/scoopstore/product-a
